Best Day Trips in Auvergne, France: La Chaise-Dieu and Chavaniac-Lafayette

While staying in the UNESCO town of Le Puy en Velay, I had the liberty to take a few day trips within a 40-minute drive of this beautiful destination located in the Auvergne Region of France. La Chaise-Dieu, an abbey church founded in 1043 and Chateau Chavaniac, the birthplace and childhood home of American Revolutionary War hero, the Marquis de Lafayette.

Tsing Yi Nature Trails provide amazing views of the famous Tsing Ma Bridge in Hong Kong. Reminds me so much of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco! One of the hidden gems in Hong Kong, Tsing yi Nature Trail is also close to Tsing Yi Park. A lovely day to explore the island and get some exercise and views in!

Wanchai to Aberdeen Reservoir Hike HONG KONG

This was one of the longer hikes we did in Hong Kong. It’s not very difficult if you pace yourself but it does take up about 3 to 3-and-half hours. The best part about this hike is you get to see so many different scenery and terrain ranging from the Hong Kong Island skyline, a culturally significant rock (the Lover’s Rock), and the yellow dunes along with the manmade lakes from the reservoir. If you are lucky, you may even get to see wild boars along the way like we did!
